The Image of Christmas

“In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good. ” Ecclesiastes 11:6

Most people will attest that the image of Christmas has lost its true meaning and significance.

Over the past two decades, Christmas has become pure commercialism.

Yet, those of us who understand and can appreciate that Christmas has never been about us, but the birth of Christ, we won’t fall under the spell of retail fanfare and credit card debt.

Every year, beginning in November, my mail is full of solicitations from various organizations I have donated to in the past.

What I attempt to do every year is select a few of these charitable organizations to sow a gift that will have significant value and impact to help those in need.

If you want to feel the true meaning of Christmas, you can first start searching Guide Star Navigator, an objective website that will provide credible information about the charitable and non-profit organization you want to donate, too.

For your consideration I have put a list of some charitable organizations that are worth considering and supporting and also that you might want to use or share with others.

If you don’t have money to support an organization, why not consider volunteering your time and expertise. Children hospitals are always looking for a few dedicated and compassionate volunteers.
