Deuteronomy 32:18 “You neglected the Rock who begot you, And forgot the God who gave you birth.
If you have ever been around Christians and a problem or trouble arises, you may hear the famous question, “is there anything too hard for God?”
In so many ways there has never been anything too hard for God…except for one thing.
The Program Church.
The Program Church isn’t anything new but it has gotten bigger. Especially, in some smaller churches who are doing all they can to attract new members.
There are some believers in churches who believe that the church is to function for their personal social activities.
These believers have the unfortunate concept that if programs are offered in the world to tickle the flesh, why not duplicate it and put a “Christian” spend on doing what the devil is doing so well.
Some Christians are so caught up on wanting programs to satisfy the flesh that the Spirit of God is left out of His own house of worship.
Let’s be real about this. Their will always be Christians complaining that there is not enough happening in their particular church, They will say that a certain demographics are being neglected. Whether young, old or in-between. And the complaints are constant until the member gives up or resigns their membership.
This is the era of neglect of God and one’s fellow humankind. And today with so much hate, mass murders, wayward youth, families dissolving and natural disasters, the church is needed more than ever.
So, what is a Program Church?
A Program Church is what can be defined as folks who want to dress up, show up and do nothing for Christ.
The Program Church membership consists of complaining folks who always think it’s about “them” and not others.
Is their anything too hard for God?
You betcha. The Program Church and if change isn’t made soon we will pay a high price for neglecting the One who saved us.
