Searching for Privacy

For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad. Luke 8:17

After taking a nice deserved vacation out of the country, I found that what I really didn’t miss is having my time online being monitored at every click on my laptop.

But to be honest about it, we are now living in the age of Big Brother and nothing seems to be off-limits to delving into another person life history.

While I was away, I couldn’t help but appreciate the solitude and peaceful surroundings of knowing that internet access was limited in the location where I stayed.

And being away also provided me some time to think about how easily I have contributed to building a public file that can be accessed by those savvy in knowing where to look for information one might want to keep private.

But if anyone is looking for privacy in this digital age, they can pretty much forget it. Even those who have never used a computer will be amazed at the information out here in cyber world.

No, I am afraid that what we believe to be one of the best things to happen with technology has come back to bite us.

Nevertheless, I will not stop logging online and believe that there are more people like myself who find that much good can be done with technology rather than evil.

Searching for privacy isn’t a fear just a desire to have just a little control of keeping what we do online to ourselves.

We know that the big three search engines Google, Yahoo and Bing are in the business of tracking and selling our information. That’s because it is their business model to make money from selling ads.

However, there are other search engines available that you might want to look into for an online secure privacy experience without tracking and maintaining your search history.
