Not Alone

For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. I Corinthians 6:20

Does Life Have a Purpose?

I overheard a gentleman ask his friend.

What is your purpose in life?

There was a few minutes of silence before his friend replied to the question.

“You know man, I don’t really know.”

His friend shook his head, laughed and the two men walked out of the restaurant.

Thinking on that exchange got me to ponder that very same question.

You see, this gentleman is not alone in not having an answer to his friend’s question.

Now think about this.

In one’s mind, you may have been languishing for days, weeks, months or even years of attempting to break what you consider to be a humdrum existence.

You may even on a daily basis ask yourself, “what is my purpose in life?”

Years ago when Pastor Rick Warren wrote the best-selling book, The Purpose Driven Life, Christians, as well as, Non-Christians sought to find out just what that purpose might be for their own life.

Yet, just like so many in the past who went on the quest to find the fountain of youth.

There are those today on the quest to find the purpose of life.

For some, they know what their purpose in this life is about.

But for others, they are at a standstill trying to figure it out.

Whether one believes it or not, we all have a God-given purpose in life. That’s if we take the time to really want to accept this fact.

No matter how many books, videos or seminars that are available, the truth of one’s purpose in this life lies within each of us and no one can give us the answer to our purpose is but God.

Humans are significant in God’s plan.

And in every plan of God, He places a purpose for it.

Our life is not our own.

We have been bought with a price.

Let’s make that purchase worth living for.

The purpose of life is to live a life of purpose
