Motivation Monday:Today Can’t Be Your Tomorrow

The phrase “today can’t be your tomorrow,” confronts those who are lifelong procrastinators.

If you tell yourself daily that I shall take care of a matter tomorrow, then you are probably a procrastinator.

You have to have a clear understanding that if you plan on accomplishing anything in life, big or small, you can’t put it off for the next day. For each day that you push away your plans, the “tomorrow” of your plans will never fit into the “today.”

Today is present. Tomorrow is the future.

The future is not guarantee.

When I was younger, I didn’t realize that God had planted a seed of a dream in my heart and the visions in pursuing it felt quite real.

However, fear was always an unfortunate element in me procrastinating to get ahead.

And as you may well know, fear will hold you back from watering the seed inside you. Thereby, your seed will not take root and sprout to its fullness.

Carrying a seed in your heart will also bring on heartache and most often from those closest to you.

There were friends that I once associated with. Thinking that each one should be supportive of my dreams resulted in a big disappointment to me. Each one were seed terminators and they didn’t even know it. When I would tell them of my dreams, I received a handful of apples that appeared shiny and attractive on the outside, as though they were celebrating my dreams with me. But once I bit into each one of their apples, the taste was as bitter onions. Those apples caused me many tears and lost of friendships.

Right now, someone is thinking about the seed in their heart that was planted long ago. You haven’t had time to water the seed because you allow others to water it for you…job, family and friends.

The seed is still there and has been germinating all these years, waiting to take root and sprout but you may well need a seasoned Gardner to help you.

Now, I have to tell you that you will need a team to work with you (God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit).

Ecclesiastes 4:12 ESV And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

The seed shall eventually sprout.

But unless you take hold of the seasoned Gardner’s hands and trust Him with your seed…you may never see the uniqueness of who you really are.

Remember, today can’t be your tomorrow.
