Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. Psalm 62:1
Okay, this is a Saturday afternoon and I had plans on going shopping.
But much to my disappointment, I go out to start-up my car and all I hear is a silent clicking noise.
I pull up the hood as if I didn’t know what the real reason for the non-start.
The battery of course is dead and now my plans are changed and I will just have to deal with it.
Called a neighbor to ask for a charge, but then I realized that I am a member of a national auto club.
I put in a call to the auto club, only to find that assistance will not be available for a couple of hours.
It just so happen that today there are several people who have car issues as well.
So, to past the time away while I await service, I decided to write a post for today.
Actually, this whole car thing might be a blessing in disguise.
Oftentimes, when the mind sends out signals to just relax and rest, I will usually ignore the signal. But today, is a good day to do just that.
Feeling like you have to do something just for the sake of doing something sounds like an oxymoron action.
If anything that God is teaching me about myself, it is that situations and circumstances that arrived unannounced in one’s life shouldn’t always be perceived as an inconvenience.
As a matter of fact, sometimes, we are so busy trying to get things done that we miss out on opportunities to just sit back and let life happen as it was designed to do so.
So, right now at this very moment, I’m just chilling and dealing with the car situation.
And you know what?
I’m okay with it.
Checkout some interesting videos I happen to come across from around the web.
Have a bless and peaceful weekend.
