Who Inspires You?

I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Psalm 16:8

How do you define the word inspiration?

One definition in Merriam-Webster dictionary states that inspiration is “a divine influence or action on a person believed to qualify him or her to receive and communicate sacred revelation. ”

Who inspires you?

Is it God?

Is it nature?

Or is it people?

Or is it a combination of the three?

What motivates you?

Is it your family, friends or co-workers?

We humans definitely go through our ups and downs. Depending on what side of the bed we roll out of from one day to another, we can conceive in our hearts to be happy or sad.

Needless to say, we want to live on the mountaintop everyday but some of us don’t, so we look for some kind of inspiration to keep us high.

Sadly, we don’t always look to Christ for inspiration or to motivate us.

At the beginning of each New Year, there are those who will make resolutions as to make changes in their life and the number one change for many are losing weight and/or quitting their jobs.

However, what if we took away the yearly resolutions and just held on to the One true inspiration and motivator we will ever need. Jesus the Christ.

Jesus should be our inspiration and our motivator to be all that we can be for Him and for others.

Instead of complaining today, why not thank the Lord for His inspired Word and His motivating power that we are able and capable to share a smile and an encouraging word to someone who may desperately need it.
