Exodus 22:22 – Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child.
Today, I felt the need to just pay a special shout-out to Georgia state trooper Nathan Bradley who went beyond the call of duty to show compassion and love to four children who lost their parents in a car accident on Halloween.
It had to be nothing but the power of God that kept Trooper Bradley focus on making sure that the children needed to be well cared for until the arrival of their grandmother who was traveling from Florida to be with them.
Trooper Bradley did not tell the children that their parents were dead. Instead, he took them out and kept them occupied. This inner strength could only be by the grace of God.
Not only did Trooper Bradley watch over the children but he set-up a Go Fund Me to help with the funeral expenses.
Much can be said about bad police officers but very few accolades are heard or given to men and women in law enforcement who go beyond the call of duty to reveal the human side of God.
Thank you Trooper Bradley and may the Lord bless and keep you safe!
Matthew 5:43-48 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
