Don’t Let the Enemy Defeat You

It’s Monday morning and already the enemy is messing in your head and telling you lies and trying to have you defeat yourself. What I’m finding most difficult is not to have the devil use me against myself. You know how it comes about. The enemy will come at you in an insignificant approach. Maybe someone didn’t speak to you this morning when you arrived at work. Or the coffee you ordered wasn’t what you asked for. And how about your children refusing to get up when they know its time to get ready for school. How about your spouse didn’t say a word to you this morning and ran out the house and left a mess for you to clean up? Told that there was enough gas in the car and you barely have enough to get to the gas station. I could go on but I won’t.

Now, here is where the enemy really works his best. In our thoughts. We begin to feast on minor issues that don’t have to become major problems. It’s a Monday morning tactic that works perfectly if you let it.

It’s the petty little things that will get to us. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Don’t let the enemy defeat you. Stop what you are doing. Give thanks to the Lord. Sing a song of praise. Forgive. And have a beautiful day!
