2015 the Year of Our Lord

Calender_2015We are in a new year and prayerfully in the days, weeks and months ahead, believers in the West will make a concerted effort not to look down or judge others as not worthy for God’s love.

Denominations have played a tragic role in Western society and especially, in the house of God.

There are some followers of Christ who have no idea as to our Lord’s true purpose in coming to mankind in the flesh. His coming was not for cars, houses, finances and love connections.

In 2015, Christians should seek a change in the way we believe and act towards those who are worthy of a Saviour.

The purpose and desire to follow Jesus doesn’t mean giving Christians what we want, but rather, obeying God for what His will is.

If the world hates Christians, especially those in the West, perhaps it is because they see the false image of Christ as a self-centered and greedy God who cares only about giving His followers the things of this world (fame, money and power).

2015 the year of our Lord should bring Christians into a genuine relationship with Christ. Regardless, if one gets what they ask for or not, the end goal of Christianity should be, not my will but His will be done.

Today, take time to remember the purpose and cause of Christ coming to earth. Then, resolve to do His will and not look to gain those things which will rust and fade away.

Let’s make this a year that shines the light on our Lord. No resolutions, just a dedicated and personal relationship with Jesus who came to save this world. Christians…go out and tell the world!

Romans 10:9-15

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
